AZ Tax Credit

About the AZ Tax Credit

The Arizona State Tax Credit program allows taxpayers to make donations to qualifying organizations and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against their tax debt to the state of Arizona.

Unlike deductions and exemptions, which reduce taxable income, Tax Credits reduce the actual amount of money owed to the state. This gives taxpayers the power to say how their tax dollars are spent and the opportunity to keep it local!

Taxpayers can contribute up to the amount of their expected state tax liability. If they contribute more than their total state tax amount, the credits can be carried forward five years. You can find additional information on the Arizona Department of Revenue State Tax Credit page.

Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation is the ONLY Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organization (QFCO) in Yavapai County!

The maximum allowable donations to GFCOs per tax year are as follows:

  • $526 for single and head of household taxpayers
  • $1,051 for married taxpayers filing a joint return

For your tax-filing purposes:

  • EIN : 71-0946266
